in general i think new york is very good for my social anxiety because no matter how much of a freak i’m being i know it’s probably not the weirdest thing people have seen today
case in point: i felt bad about bringing my unwieldy luggage onto a crowded train, until the man sitting next to me pulled a live fish out of his backpack

New York has lots of super interesting people, but absolutely WAY too many people at a time. I have fun people watching whenever I go if I can get past my fear of crowds…which is unfortunately not often. So I usually only go with a plan to go to like a museum or something. Even NY Pride, people watching central, was a complete shit show and I had to like stop to have a panic attack every couple of blocks.
